Optimal ergonomic position

Optimal ergonomic position requires you to sit with your feet on the floor and you’re back resting on the back of your chair. This is in contrast to sitting on the edge of the chair which is what many vertically challenged individuals do in order for their feet to touch the ground. This is because of the fact that many chairs and desks are created for people of height not less than 5ft 4". For a shorter height, it is very difficult to get a combination of chair and footrest.

However, two footrests have proven to be an exception to this rule and are ideal even for the vertically challenged users! They are the Safeco and Rubbermaid footrests. With any of these footrests, a vertically challenged person can sit even on a chair that is very high; supports the feet with either of the two footrests and still be able to press the keyboard without problems.

Safeco is an ideal footrest for anybody who would like to raise their chair very high so as to get comfortable on the keyboard. Yet, it is as light as about 6lbs. The dimension is around 19 by 15.5 by 8.5 inches. It is one of the unique footrests that can be made to sit flat so that you can rest your feet on it. It is also made possible for you to tilt it to an angle towards you if you do not need much of a height.

The Rubbermaid 4653 Height-Adjustable Tilting Footrest is yet another great footrest to consider when height is one of the things you wish for. It weighs about 6.5 lbs and is about 6.25" inches in height. This height is ideally suitable for anybody below the height of 5 ft 3". It is a solid footrest that you will really appreciate greatly. Apart from height problems, the Rubbermaid footrest also offers a lasting solution to backache! It is one of the few ergonomic footrests that come in three adjustable heights and the last height is almost about 7"! It adjusts very easily. In order to raise it, you need to just pull it up . And when you want to reduce it to a lower height, you can just hold the front and tilt it back. For increased circulation and comfort ability, this footrest has been designed to tilt back and forwards easily. It has also some raised dimples on it, which are added to help improve blood circulation in your leg.

Indeed, despite the fact that your height may not be up to what is "ideal" to fully enjoy working on the desk, you just cannot give up as there is now a way where there seemed to be no way! You can of course take solace in any of the high footrests that are available. Two types have been cited above already. In fact, it is not your fault that you are not on the very tall side. So, you can use the footrests to support your height and enjoy doing what you like doing best. Cheers!
